Turning 97 is a milestone which should be celebrated. Around 60 guests—mostly family, kin, and close friends—of Estrella Garcia showed up at her afternoon party of laughter and good food. The venue was decorated with pink and violet blooms and photos of the celebrator were placed all around. Sugarplum Pastries provided a two-layer cake decorated with blooms which appeared on the printed invitation. Bizu provided the food which included parmesan crusted fish with citrus and herbs, beef and cheese rigatoni, and the house specialty—the 10-hour US Angus roast beef belly.
