Alain & Cheska

TWO WEDDINGS AND A DREAM COME TRUE

St. Joseph the Worker and Quest Hotel Clark

When Cheska and Alain started planning their wedding, they agreed on two critical key design principles: 1) they wanted the wedding to be an intimate and meaningful celebration officiated by God; and 2) it should encapsulate their love story. They made sure that every element incorporated in their theme will remind everyone of who they really are. Nothing rehearsed. No frills. No production numbers. Everything should be authentic and natural as possible.

Both Cheska and Alain love the “here and now” things. For instance, they enjoy the food, the sights, and sounds as they experience them in their travels.

St. Joseph the Worker Chapel in Clark was big enough to accommodate everyone they invited. Five minutes away was the Quest Hotel in Mimosa where they held the reception. As they stood by the entrance of the reception hall, guests were warmly welcomed and serenaded by the in-house quartet with a medley of songs from the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Disney movies The food was superb and was truly a feast to savor.

Since they wanted to have much interaction with their guests, they went from table to table for photos and brief moments of casual conversation.

Their wedding plans did not end in the Philippines. Even more accentuated was their follow-up wedding in Indonesia—the wedding Alain promised to make true for Cheska. This dream wedding  happened in the romantic island of Bali specifically at the Alila Villas Uluwatu, a luxury villa that sits atop a panoramic plateau above lime stone cliffs with the sweeping ocean below. Alain thought he had cried enough in their wedding in the Philippines, but right before Cheska walked down the aisle in Bali, Alain was overwhelmed by love and happiness. He could not help it and cried again.

That the wedding was so beautiful, heartfelt, and touching was the most rewarding compliment they had received from their family and friends.

The two weddings were as real and spontaneous as they had seen them in their minds and hearts but what’s most significant was the promise and the dream of a wedding both fulfilled for Cheska.
