Er.Nest Ascends
This is an opportune time, too, to introduce our added service, Er.Nest: Bringing joy to your nest. During this period of social distancing, regimented home quarantine, or staying indoors as safety protocols, special occasions can still be marked and observed. There are many events other than weddings and debuts, and celebrations never cease. We at Bespoke Manila have been bringing joy through personalized and stylish parties over the years. With our impressive track record, we can create the same heartfelt and memorable events—exclusively, intimately, and alternatively—in the comfort of your own and your guests’ homes.
In fact, over a three-month run, we have organized and staged special occasions through Er.Nest.
A Father’s Day Celebration. Planned in just three days, this event used colors and materials that were discussed during the first telecon. Kids were consulted and instructed as they were involved in the set-up. A platter filled with the honoree’s favorite chocolates and whiskey became the piece de resistance.
Jaime’s Oriental-themed Birthday Party. For many years, we have organized parties for this family so close to our hearts. And the patriarch’s birthday had not been overlooked. Traditional red and gold were the color motif in the decorations—from the backdrop festooned with red flowers and fairy lights to the centerpiece of red blooms placed inside a bamboo dimsum box. A two-tiered cake for longevity was created by Sugarplum Pastries.
Patty’s Tuscan-inspired Debut. When our co-planner Chinkie Uy asked for our help to plan her daughter’s debut, we immediately said, “yes.” With another co-planner, Liz Alviedo of Balloonery by Liz, we set a Tuscan-style dinner. Real leaves were inserted in the yellow and white balloon garland backdrop in the dining area. Place cards were perched on sliced lemons. Wooden monogrammed flags were used as napkin rings. Floral centerpiece by Dave Sandoval was peppered with yellow and white flowers and accentuated with halved lemons. Teddy Manuel provided kamuning leaves which adorned both the dining and buffet tables. Matching plates and goblets were lent by supplier-friend Charisse Tinio. As a special treat, a link to a virtual photobooth from Cliquebooth was sent to the celebrator’s friends so that they could have happy mementos of the occasion. Proverbially, “it took a village” to bring this intimate party to life.
Peyton’s Dinosaur-themed 7th Birthday Party. We planned a baby shower when he was still in his mother’s womb, as well as arranged the party for his first birthday. When Peyton turned 7 recently, we couldn’t be happier to be a part of the celebration. Asked what he wanted to have for his birthday party, he blurted out “dinosaurs” —his current obsession—without batting an eyelash. No detail was spared or too small even for this intimate dinosaur-themed party. The extinct reptile was all around—from the dinosaur finger puppets used as napkin rings to the centerpieces filled with various types of dinosaurs that kids know and love. We provided an activity sheet and an excavation kit for the birthday boy to keep him busy while we were setting up. The birthday cake by Sugarplum Pastries was simply awesome. Jennie, Peyton’s mom, baked his favorite Valrhona chocolate mousse with lots of whipped cream. She also made sure that Peyton’s favorites which include spaghetti and burger steak from Jollibee were part of the buffet spread. Special shoutout to Auntie Jamie and Guamy Evelyn for planning this fete with us. Happy Birthday, Peyton!
Moses’ Vintage Winnie the Pooh First Birthday Party. How can you say “no” to a Vintage Winnie the Pooh party? Celebrity planner Chinkie Uy of Metro Eventscape Planners contacted us to style this party. Balloonery by Liz provided the yellow, blue, and white balloons for the backdrop. Both Moses’ parents were hands-on in the preparations for their home party. They were assisted by his wonderful uncles as well. Activity sheets for the kids were personalized—complete with labeled crayons. Place cards and menu cards for each of the guests bore the vintage Winnie the Pooh print. Sugarplum Pastries came up with thematic mini cupcakes, donuts, and butter cookies. The bakeshop also provided the two-layer cake featuring the 3D figures of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. Details of this party were well-thought of—everything was intentional. Thank you Mommy Jerika and Daddy Miquel for the trust. Till our next event.
Dreaming in Pink and Gold with Ariane. To welcome Ariane to her teenage life, a photo shoot slash dinner was prepared by her parents. Twigs fallen from the trees in their backyard and painted in gold were used as the table centerpiece. Brooches were placed on beribboned glass candleholders. To complete the tablescape, pink dinner plates on gold chargers, and bejeweled napkins were set up on tables covered with pink sequined cloth. The backdrop had hues of gray and metallic rose gold balloons with strips of pink and gold paper to highlight the set-up. Happy 13th birthday, Ariane!
Roj’s Vintage Car-themed Birthday Dinner. After 17 years, I got to work again with my former bride, Gia. She wanted to surprise her husband who is a medical frontliner just like herself. Since Roj is into vintage cars, we turned to his passion as the central theme for the party. It was a fast three-day planning but with the help of our friends from Flourish and Frills, we were able to pull off a memorable party enjoyed by the household. The backdrop featured an organic combination of light blue, aqua, red, white, and black balloons set against an aqua blue background with a red vintage car printed in the middle. The table was covered with matching aqua table linens. Vintage cars from Roj’s personal collection were used as part of the centerpiece. Cheers to more milestones ahead, Roj and Gia! Thank you for the love, support, and friendship!
